Tom fuses his unique portfolio of executive, board, marketing and philanthropic experience for the benefit of Kinetic clients.  He brings more than 40 years of executive experience, including roles as CEO, president and CMO of well-known public and private companies and their subsidiaries.  He also has chaired large and complex nonprofit organizations, spearheading capital campaigns and other development activities.

Tom retired in 2022 as president of TD Ameritrade, Inc. (N.J.). Previously, he served as CMO at Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc., Overland Park, Kan. In addition, he served as CEO of its broker dealer and mutual fund distribution subsidiaries. Tom has worked extensively in the Kansas City community, where he currently serves on the board of trustees of the Lyric Opera of Kansas City. He previously served as chairman of the board of directors of the Kansas City Sports Commission. He also served on the board of directors of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and board of trustees of The Barstow School. He was the board of trustees chairman of the National WWI Museum and Memorial, where he co-chaired their successful Second Century Campaign, which exceeded its campaign goal a year ahead of schedule.

Tom graduated with distinction from The Pennsylvania State University.  He currently makes his home in western Pennsylvania and South Carolina, traveling frequently to Kansas City and throughout the United States.
